Cruel, Cruel Summer.

First up: Happy 4th of July to all my American followers! Hope you have a good one. I'll definitely busy myself watching all of the celebratory Youtube videos later.

The week's heatwave seems to be subsiding slightly now. I can't say I mind either way - I love being out in the sun but at the same time, I always welcome a change. We did have a few hours of relief yesterday morning with torrential rain but by the afternoon, you couldn't even tell that water had even hit the ground. I think it was just enough to keep things green though. It certainly is a strange time of year.

The heat has managed to put Stella into a sort of a coma for most of the day but this results in her acting manically as soon as it cools down in the evening. We literally can't control her - she has dug up Dad's flowerbeds, taken stones from the rockery and tried to get out twice. I've been placed on constant guard.

You'd never believe that something so cute could ever be responsible for such things would you? You'd be wrong. Very wrong.

I keep getting (gentle) reminders from followers on twitter that I haven't made any Youtube videos for a while. I really, really want to get back into the swing of it but the last one I filmed on my camera resulted in the audio going out of sync when I edited it. I have no idea why and whenever I use my Macbook to make a video, people moan about the beeping sound so I really can't win! I'm seriously considering buying a Flip video camera to make things easier cause my Youtube channel is really important to me and has allowed me to meet so many amazing people online! I'm going to investigate the audio problem later though and hopefully, I'll have a new video up by the beginning of the week :)

After finally getting to sleep at 4 o'clock this morning, the biggest group of noisy 16-year-olds on their way home from the Summer Ball woke me up at 6 .... so it looks like I'll spend the day lazing around in a daze listening to La Roux's album yet again. Oh well, there are worse ways to spend a Summer's day I guess.

Ohh sounds like it's fairly warm up in your area. It's been mostly overcast the past couple of days here (and I'm totally loving it) and I'm super happy when it rains but somehow the ground still manages to dry up within the hour =( It's still too hot and somehow, physically, I seem not to be made for the tropics anymore =\
