I downloaded lots of new albums today in preparation for the sheer hell that will be the next few weeks in terms of work. Amongst said albums, was Lady GaGa's 'The Fame' which I have to say, is one of the best albums I've had the joy of listening to in a long time. I know she is already big in Canada and Australia but her debut single isn't going to be released here until January which sucks for us. I know it will be huge though, that kind of music does extremely well here lately. In fact, any type of music tends to do well here lately - I was looking at the singles chart today and couldn't help but notice how eclectic the mix was. However, according to the trusty Sunday Times, classical/opera music is still the UK's best selling genre and our biggest global export apparently. Nice to know; you go Katherine Jenkins! Also, what is it with Girls Aloud lately? They've been around years and have been our biggest girl group for years but suddenly they have just exploded with popularity and are literally EVERYWHERE! Number one single, number one album and on every magazine cover. Nothing to do with Cheryl being made an X-factor Judge I doubt *sarcasm*. Its somewhat annoying.I also checked out Snow Patrol's new album 'A Hundred Million Suns' which I need to listen to again because I never like a Snow Patrol album the first time I listen to it. I'm sure it will be just as amazing as their others though.
So as I said, these next few weeks are going to be horrific. The thing with journalism compared with other courses is that we have no work due for months after we start back but then suddenly we have a million deadlines all in a row. I have the following due in the near future:
- Portfolio 1 consisting of 6 stories
- Portfolio 2 consisting of 6 stories
- 6 digital photography hand-ins
- 2 media theory essays of 1000 words with extra research.
- 1000 word design essay
- 2 page magazine spread for design
- Defamation defense exercise for law
- 2000 word essay for media law
- annnnddddd a review of High School Musical 3 for the uni magazine

Being insanely busy is ALWAYS better than being bored. At least I think so haha.
wow that's a good set of work you've got there. for the next 2 years its just pure studying for me...but i'm always busy studying (that in itself is boring!) but i guess that would be my fault for making this career choice =P
